What is the NVEEE Peace Ambassador Program?
NVEEE’s Peace Ambassador Program is a leadership program comprised of students who serve as advocates, upstanders, and leaders in the efforts to prevent bullying, suicide and violence in their various schools and communities. Studies have shown that youth are more likely to listen and respond to other youth in educational interventions, setting the stage for them to serve as role models. Education is an essential component of how NVEEE engages families and communities in moving towards social change.
NVEEE Peace Ambassadors are dedicated to empowering other students to help create a safer and more inclusive environment for the ENTIRE school community.
What Do Peace Ambassadors Do?
Without question, you are a role model in person and online! You visit schools in grades K-12, community centers, places of worship, colleges & universities, even businesses an corporate offices and co-present NVEEE’s signature bullying and suicide prevention workshops. Because we have a strong commitment of incorporating The Arts in our bullying prevention education, if you are a performer, you will also have the opportunity to share your talents by playing your instrument, singing or even dancing. However, performing is definitely not your only responsibility, it’s just a bonus.
