Becoming a Peer Mentor will challenge you in unexpected ways, with the potential to provide you with empowering and rewarding experiences.
Peer mentoring programs match older youth with young students in one-on-one relationships to provide guidance.
NVEEE’s Peer-to-Peer Mentoring Program’s KEY role is to foster strong, supportive and positive relationships among peers. As these relationships develop and grow, a strong community network will eventually emerge altering the cultural climate among youth and building towards a brighter tomorrow. These relationships will have a far-reaching impact at home, in the schools and the community at large.
Our Peer-to-Peer Mentoring program is designed to assist in the social, personal and academic issues facing today’s youth. Peer to Peer mentors range in age from 10-19 years old. We match potential mentors with youth mentees that have some similar interests and can provide insight on potential issues they may be facing.
