Secretary | Florida International University Liaison
Board Advisor to Youth Advisory Council
August 2014 – Current
Ephraim is an emerging leader at Florida International University where he’s studying biology and hopes to continue on to medical school to pursue a career as a physician. As a member of The Honors College at FIU he pioneered a medical mission program that currently travels to Nicaragua twice a year to provide free medical care in under-served communities. Throughout his college career Ephraim has worked as an educator and a mentor. He has been teaching physics in the laboratory setting for three years. He has collaborated with high school students on community service projects to facilitate leadership development and a yearning for higher education. For the past two years Ephraim served as a peer mentor as part of Project Panther LIFE, providing a college experience and self-advocacy guidance for a student with intellectual disabilities. Always looking for new ways to challenge and develop his leadership skills, Ephraim is currently the Alternative Breaks Recruitment Coordinator for the Center for Leadership & Service and continues to teach Physics. Having seen the power of the Peace Ambassador Leadership Summit in aiding students that have been affected by teasing and ridicule in moving past it, he is looking forward to help NVEEE rise to new heights.
