Congresswoman Federica Wilson supported NVEEE and our bullying prevention programs by recognizing our work in the Congressional Record of June 2011. We’re honored to have community leaders that support and help spread our mission.
In January 2014, Congressman Michael Honda of California in the House of Representatives, recognized NVEEE for receiving a grant of $25,000 through the Be A STAR Initiative for their efforts in bullying and suicide prevention. The Be A STAR Initiative was founded by WWE and The Creative Coalition to encourage young people to treat each other with respect and tolerance through education and grassroots initiatives. This grant has helped to fund NVEEE’s Peace Ambassador Leadership Program™ as well as NVEEE’s Be Upstanding™ School-wide Bullying Prevention Program.
We are very grateful and honored to have the support from the community in our efforts to prevent bullying.
